A little about me
After completing a BA(hons) degree in Photography at Plymouth University I quickly realised my skills were with the interaction with my subjects in front of the lens. I left the graphical side of the industry to work in a studio, which I did for 4 years running 10 studios across the South coast. I then left to work for myself photographing children at nurseries, child of the year competitions, and schools. I have now focused on wedding photography as I have a passion for the creative photograph. I have found weddings give me the freedom to express this creativity whilst enjoying my work and those around me.Nathan is a member of

After a busy weekend I’ve finally got round to updating my RPS profile page.
Please take the time to visit and have a look around. The RPS has been around for over 100 years and I’m proud to join the membership of a society that actually means something.

Traditional Leather Wedding Album
Considering I put some images of my standard traditional album up a few weeks ago I thought I may as well pop a couple of images up of my most popular upgrade.
This is a beautiful Leather wedding album measuring 16 x 12 inches! I find this album is a nice compromise between the traditional matted album and the very fashionable storybook style albums (also available). It contains a 14×11 inch bespoke designed print from your wedding photograph selection.
It comes in a choice of Black, Burgundy or pearl ivory finish. A very nice addition to any wedding package.
New style photo giveaway
Thanks to the introduction of iPhone apps such as Hipstamatic and instagram the modern style of photography has taken a liking for the retro look. I personally love this new or even old style of post processing.

I’m certainly giving my new lifestyle or location shoots this treatment as it really inspires me to push my photography a little further. This fashion in post processing along with the availability of ‘full frame’ Dslrs means shallow depth of field and beautiful colours are abundant. Just as Black and White images bring their own character I think these also have a feel all of their own.
What I need now are those guinea pigs to let me take them out into the field now that the weather is warming up and develop a new style of photograph for the people living in and around Poole and Dorset. I am going to give away 5 sittings with a complimentary print to 5 lucky people should they want a chance to have some outstanding images shot on location in this new funky style. I would also like some adults to join in the fun!

I got a new camera!
Today I got my self a new toy ready for the new wedding season. I’m itching to use it in a live situation! So much so I’ve taken a couple of pics of a traditional album I have at home.
How the small things please me
Sugar Mouse Events
This week I had a bit of fun putting together a shoot for Sugarmouseevents. Who supply a sweet stand for weddings, partys and events. I met these ladies at a wedding fayre in Bournemouth and we go on famously. The idea was to give them a vintage photo feel with the retro sweets.
