A little about me
After completing a BA(hons) degree in Photography at Plymouth University I quickly realised my skills were with the interaction with my subjects in front of the lens. I left the graphical side of the industry to work in a studio, which I did for 4 years running 10 studios across the South coast. I then left to work for myself photographing children at nurseries, child of the year competitions, and schools. I have now focused on wedding photography as I have a passion for the creative photograph. I have found weddings give me the freedom to express this creativity whilst enjoying my work and those around me.Nathan is a member of

New wedding booking in June
Always nice to see a last minute date fill. Welcome Laura and Darren who are tying the knot on June 23rd.

I am looking forward to photographing their wedding in Corfe Castle at St Andrews Church which has this rather stunning view outside its doors.
Many times I have cycled past and wanted to shoot a wedding at this church, finally my prayers were answered.
We are then off to the Grand Hotel in Swanage who have their own private beach! Coloured beach huts golden sand and ice creams!
Its going to be a great day!
Second shooter Enter stage right George Burgess I have worked with George many times and he is driving down from Herefordshire for the pleasure of this occasion. Should be great fun. Roll on the 23rd June.

Elmers Court Wedding Album
I had the pleasure of reliving Hannah and Doug’s wedding whilst designing this album. I loved the light hearted manor in which they and their guests performed throughout the day. Aussies definitely have a great sense of humour and I loved every minute of this day.
Marcus and Julia tie the knot at Kingston Country Courtyard
Wow what a scorcher of an October day! Marcus and Julia had amazing weather for their October wedding in Poole, Dorset. I caught up with the girls at Julias mums house where they had the luxury of doing their make up in the garden! One of Julia’s bridemaid’s may seem familiar to those of you who follow my work as I shot her wedding earlier this year, you may also recognise a couple of the cars.
We went on to the Guildhall in Poole, definitely the grandest registry office on the south coast! with beautiful staircases exiting the building for some cracking photos!
A quick burn in their sports cars up to a Purbeck viewpoint and an ice cream! whilst I try to keep up in my dad’s volvo on loan to me due to a breakdown earlier this week. Then on to the Venue, Kingston Country Courtyard, a great place overlooking Corfe Castle in the Purbecks. I have come to love this place over the years and on a hot and sunny day there’s no where else like it. Being offered food I decided to stay and try my hand at a bit of night photography with my new radio transmitters. Marcus asked if I practiced dismantling my camera blindfolded like a marine and his gun, and it sure felt like it working this way. Hat’s off to Lemontree who is the king of this sort of thing!
Here are a few teasers from yesterdays fun.
Kirsten and Mark trash the dress
After a late night shooting a booth at a wedding at Elmers Court I had to get up at 4am to shoot a trash the dress session with Mark and Kirsten who got married at Parley Manor last year. We have tried several times to get out but the good old british weather let us down. Today the weather showed us all her glory in the style of a beautiful summer sunrise, definitely worth the early start.
Not many couples are happy to get in the water at dawn, and I’m very thankful that Kirsten and Mark were game for this shoot. We had an amazing time, and entertained the local fishermen at the same time.
I had a plan put together for this shoot which involved dunes and sand bars but due to a rapid spring tide, a beautiful sunrise and an excitable dog (murphy) this all went out of the window. I flew by the seat of my pants with my off camera flash and enjoyed every minute of it. I think you’ll agree as the results speak for themselves. SEE THE SHOOT
Big thanks to Mark and Kirsten for being great sports and braving the English water.
Amy & Matt Get married at Marwell Zoo

Matt and Amy got married at Marwell Zoo in October last year, after a difficult selection they managed to get the number down to an amount that fit in their album.
I enjoy putting albums together as I get to relive the day I took their wedding photographs. I guess this is how I’d like to think my clients feel every time they look through them. A good reason to have a designed album instead of the DVD to sit in front of a screen, its just not the same.
The first draft of their album is online in the client area
Alison and Adam get married at Parley Manor
Adam and Alison’s big day at Parley Manor is now in their first draft Album. The proof is now available to view in the Client Area.
This fun loving couple had an extremely blustery day so it wasn’t rain we were battling with just the wind! Great fun though. I really enjoyed the day, putting the album together has helped me relive the day the way it will for this happy couple for many years to come.
Paul and Eleanor get married at Corfe Castle

Paul and Eleanor are my London couple from last year. They came down to getmarried at Mortons House hotel in Corfe.
A couple who warmed to the camera and gave me a great set of images to edit. I have their first Album proof online in the client area. It has taken a while for them to pick their favourite images as they liked all of them!
Doug and Hannah at Elmers Court in Lymington
Hannah the cool calm and collected bride and Doug the Australian Joker got married at Elmers Court in Lymington on a day when the weather office got it wrong, a storm was forecast but all we saw was sun. When I arrived Hannah informed me that there was no power in the rooms or hotel so they had to have their rollers etc plugged in at the leisure centre and run them over when needed. Not even this fazed Hannah!
A large percentage of people at this wedding came all the way over from Oz, this (as the bestman pointed out) is testament to their popularity!
