Wow what a scorcher of an October day! Marcus and Julia had amazing weather for their October wedding in Poole, Dorset. I caught up with the girls at Julias mums house where they had the luxury of doing their make up in the garden! One of Julia’s bridemaid’s may seem familiar to those of you who follow my work as I shot her wedding earlier this year, you may also recognise a couple of the cars.
We went on to the Guildhall in Poole, definitely the grandest registry office on the south coast! with beautiful staircases exiting the building for some cracking photos!
A quick burn in their sports cars up to a Purbeck viewpoint and an ice cream! whilst I try to keep up in my dad’s volvo on loan to me due to a breakdown earlier this week. Then on to the Venue, Kingston Country Courtyard, a great place overlooking Corfe Castle in the Purbecks. I have come to love this place over the years and on a hot and sunny day there’s no where else like it. Being offered food I decided to stay and try my hand at a bit of night photography with my new radio transmitters. Marcus asked if I practiced dismantling my camera blindfolded like a marine and his gun, and it sure felt like it working this way. Hat’s off to Lemontree who is the king of this sort of thing!
Here are a few teasers from yesterdays fun.
After completing a BA(hons) degree in Photography at Plymouth University I quickly realised my skills were with the interaction with my subjects in front of the lens. I left the graphical side of the industry to work in a studio, which I did for 4 years running 10 studios across the South coast. I then left to work for myself photographing children at nurseries, child of the year competitions, and schools. I have now focused on wedding photography as I have a passion for the creative photograph. I have found weddings give me the freedom to express this creativity whilst enjoying my work and those around me.
